Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company fabricates the advanced logic for NVIDIA, AMD, Apple, Google, Amazon, Broadcom-built ASICs and most of the rest of the leading edge — and its CoWoS advanced-packaging capacity has repeatedly been the single binding constraint on world GPU supply. It is spending tens of billions a year on new fabs in Taiwan, Arizona (with announced US investment plans totaling $165B), Japan and Germany. Geopolitically, it is the reason Taiwan sits at the center of the AI supply chain.
