Stargate Abilene
The flagship of the $500B Stargate program — OpenAI's first purpose-built campus.
You're looking at a data-center record: a real facility — who runs it, what hardware fills it, and where its power comes from.
Announced at the White House in January 2025, Stargate is the OpenAI–SoftBank–Oracle program (with MGX) to build frontier AI infrastructure in the US at a stated up-to-$500B scale. Its first campus, developed by Crusoe on a Lancium energy site in Abilene, Texas, targets about 1.2 GW across eight buildings; Oracle operates the capacity for OpenAI, and the first GB200 racks came online in mid-2025. On-site gas turbines supplement ERCOT grid supply through Oncor while the interconnection scales.
