Technology Memory

The 2016–2020 generation that powered V100 and A100-40GB.

You're looking at a technology record: a building block of AI hardware — what it does, who makes it, and which chips and systems use it.

HBM2 delivered up to 8-high stacks and roughly 300–450 GB/s per stack, making the V100 and early A100 possible. Its 3.2 Gb/s-per-pin successor HBM2E carried the A100 80 GB.
