Immersion Cooling

Technology Cooling

Whole servers submerged in dielectric fluid — density without limit, adoption with friction.

You're looking at a technology record: a building block of AI hardware — what it does, who makes it, and which chips and systems use it.

Single-phase immersion dunks entire servers in non-conductive fluid; two-phase boils it off the chips. It handles extreme density and eliminates fans entirely, but serviceability, fluid cost and PFAS concerns (for two-phase fluids) have kept it niche next to cold plates — strongest in crypto-heritage and edge deployments.
